The Henitentiary

The Henitentiary is the avian wing of Goatanamo, and it is where life behind bars began. As the pandemic swept across the globe, the recently relocated former suburbanite warden (and his wife) sought security options for keeping inmates in - and intruders out. 10X10 dog kennels were used to enclose the ever-expanding coop area, and the prison theme was born.
Since then, farm fresh eggs have been sold seasonally, chickens and ducks are hatched to order, and manure is available for gardeners with advance notice - but not when temperatures are below freezing.
Visit our roadside stand on County Route 11 in West Monroe, NY (between Grannis and Pinecrest) in spring, summer, and fall for fresh chicken and duck eggs.
